The same program that increases your bone strength will improve your general health and promote healthy aging. This class, designed for women of all ages and fitness levels, will help you develop strong bones for life. The class will emphasize the following:
Designing an efficient exercise program for lowering fracture risk and increasing bone density
Using nutrition and nutritional supplements to improve bone density
Instruction in strength-training exercises that focus on hip, spine, and wrist bones
Understanding risk factors for osteoporosis and osteopenia
Understanding testing: bone scans, bone resorption, and vitamin D
