Over half of adult women are overweight.  Most of us have tortured ourselves with calorie restricted diets and punitive exercise programs.  Even if we lost weight, we regained it.  Severe dieting destroys our self-confidence and can reduce our metabolism by up to 30 percent.  There is another way.  It doesn’t promise unrealistic and impossible results.  Instead, it teaches us to use exercise and nutrition to nurture good health and heal the metabolism.

This class is for women of all ages and fitness levels.  You’ll learn an exercise program that increases lean body mass, helps your body burn more calories even when at rest, and takes only 3 hours a week.  You’ll also develop an individualized nutrition plan that nurtures your body and supports healthy weight control while increasing health and vitality.  With these tools, you can reach and maintain a healthy weight for life.

The class will emphasize the following:

$60 for the series for Courtside members, $80 for nonmembers

Resources: Strong Women Stay Slim, Miriam Nelson

Eating Well For Optimum Health, Dr. Andrew Weil

Intuitive Eating: A Revolutionary Program That Works, Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch
